Marion County Energy Assistance Program

The energy assistance program (EAP) provides financial assistance to low-income households to maintain utility services during the winter heating season. This is a HEATING program, and Summer Cool program (when funding is available).

The United Way of Central Indiana, Connect2Help, and the John Boner Neighborhood Center are partnering to deliver the Marion County Energy Assistance Program during the 2018-2019 program year. The 2018 – 2019 Season begins for mail-ins on October 1, 2018.

You may schedule an appointment by clicking here if you prefer a face-to-face meeting (it is not required to apply). Appointments begin November 5, 2018.

Starting October 22, 2018 you may call 211 to assist you in scheduling an appointment. These are the same appointments you can schedule yourself by clicking here. 211 does not have any additional appointments available.

Starting October 22, 2018 can also drop off your application at the NEW LOCATION located at 1004 N Beville Street, Indianapolis 46201 at the John Boner Neighborhood Center. Indy EAP is no longer located at 40 West 40th Street.
