Marion County Energy Assistance Program

The Energy Assistance Program (EAP) provides financial assistance to low-income households to maintain utility services during the winter heating season. This is a HEATING assistance program. EAP is a federally-funded program through the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) called the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP).

Energy assistance is a one-time benefit that can assist you with the high cost of home energy . However, an EAP benefit won’t cover all of your heating and electrics costs, so you should continue to pay your bills regularly.
